Confess your sins, and pray for one another

Check this out guys.James 5:16 (esv)

16Therefore,confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

I’ve not read that in the ESV, and I think I may get an ESV just to study James.. I love the way it reads. but anyway, this verse stresses the importance of community. Share your burdens with your brothers, that they may pray for you, for the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Oh, and we know who that great power is.
Ephesians 5:8 (nkjv)
8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of the Spiritis in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14Therefore He says:
      “ Awake, you who sleep,
      Arise from the dead,
      And Christ will give you light.”

No, the bible doesn’t contradict itself,  I think what verse 12 is speaking of is that to brag of your sins is shameful. correct me if I”m wrong. I love verse 14 though. A couple years ago, one of my friends got convicted about a relationship he was in, and this was the verse I remember him saying God used to reveal to him his sins. It’s so comforting. if we are willing to answer the call to WAKE UP, and arise from the dead, Christ will give us light (vs 14) to expose the unfruitful works of darkness (vs 11), that we would end our fellowship with them, and begin our fellowship with Christ!

I’d love to hear what you think. Share your comments below!

Get up outta the dust! Turn around! It's a NEW DAY! You're a NEW YOU!

Arise! Put on Your Strength, and overcome your sin by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of Your testimony! You ARE a lover of God. You are the Beloved’s and his desire is FOR YOU! Put on Your beautiful garments!!!
Isaiah 52:1- 1 Awake, awake!
      Put on your strength, O Zion;
      Put on your beautiful garments,
      O Jerusalem, the holy city!
      For the uncircumcised and the unclean
      Shall no longer come to you.
       2 Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
      Sit down, O Jerusalem!
      Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
      O captive daughter of Zion!

Rev 12:11- 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.Turn around!!!! Turn around!!!! Turn around!!!! Turn around!!!! It’s a new day! yesterday is gone! God’s going to make a new you! the old man is dead! You’ve been BORN AGAIN! You’re a NEW YOU!
